Sydney Harbour Sunset and City Lights Cruise

This is a short shared harbour cruise timed for dusk, when Sydney starts shifting from daylight to city lights. You’ll be on a 10.5m catamaran with a maximum of 26 passengers, so it feels smaller and less crowded than a big sightseeing boat. It’s a simple option if you want harbour views without committing to a long tour. Just note that this is not a guided cruise, and sunset conditions can’t be guaranteed.

Cruises depart from Man O’ War Steps, next to the Sydney Opera House, with departure times changing through the year to line up with sunset timing. Once on board, you’ll spend about an hour out on the harbour with both indoor and outdoor areas available, so the trip usually goes ahead in most weather. The focus is on the scenery rather than commentary, with views of the harbour as daylight fades and the city begins to light up. After the cruise, you’ll return to the same departure point.
