Uluru Tour with BBQ Dinner

4 hours to 1 day

Overview

This guided Uluru day tour covers more than just the lookout. You’ll travel by modern air-conditioned coach, visit key sites around the rock, learn more about the area from accredited guides, and finish with sunset views, sparkling wine and a BBQ dinner. It’s a higher-priced option, but it wraps transport, food, guiding and the main Uluru highlights into one easy booking.

Why backpackers love it

If you’re short on time and want to see Uluru properly without sorting your own transport, meals and route planning, this makes things simple. The guided walks add more context than just turning up for sunset, and having snacks, dinner and transfers included cuts down the extra organising. It’s not a budget outing, but for travellers who want a full day with the main Uluru experiences covered, it’s a convenient way to do it.

What to expect

The day includes guided visits to the Mala Walk, Mutitjulu Waterhole Walk and the Aboriginal Cultural Centre, with stories and local insights shared along the way. Fruit and snacks are provided during the tour, and there’s pickup and drop-off from a designated meeting point. Later, you’ll head to a sunset viewing area for a BBQ dinner and sparkling wine while watching the light change over Uluru. Alcohol is limited to two drinks per person. Until 31 March 2026, the national park entry fee is included. From 1 April 2026, you’ll need to buy your own Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park Pass before the tour.
