Cape Tribulation, Mossman Gorge and Daintree Rainforest Day Trip

This full-day trip packs in some of Tropical North Queensland’s best-known natural highlights in one go. You’ll visit Mossman Gorge, travel into the World Heritage-listed Daintree Rainforest and head to Cape Tribulation, where the rainforest meets the reef. Along the way, there’s a Daintree River wildlife cruise, a guided rainforest walk and a Welcome to Country and Smoke Ceremony with the Kuku Yalanji people. It’s a straightforward option if you want to see a lot in a day without sorting out transport yourself.

The day starts with pickup and a drive north towards Mossman Gorge, where you’ll take part in a Welcome to Country and traditional Smoke Ceremony. There’s also time for a swim in the clear water at the gorge. From there, the tour continues deeper into the Daintree region, including a guided rainforest walk with commentary from your guide about the local plants, wildlife and cultural history. You’ll also join a Daintree River cruise to look for saltwater crocodiles and birdlife, cross the river by ferry, and visit the beach area at Cape Tribulation where the rainforest reaches the coastline.
