Bribie Island Kayak Hire

This is a simple one-hour kayak hire that lets you explore the Pumicestone Passage under your own steam. From the launch point, it only takes a few minutes to paddle across to the northern tip of Bribie Island, where you can reach a quiet beach inside a national park setting. If you would rather keep things calm, you can also paddle into the tidal lagoon to look for local marine life and birdlife. It is a straightforward option if you want a short outdoor outing without committing to a full tour, and prices start at a budget-friendly level.

You hire either a single or double kayak for an hour, with paddles and safety gear included. After setting off, most people head either across to the beach at North Bribie Island or into the sheltered lagoon area. Conditions are suited to a relaxed paddle, but you do need to be able to swim confidently. Along the way, you may spot stingrays, sea cucumbers, upside-down jellyfish and a range of birds including pelicans, terns and brahminy kites. If you forgot to book a kayak seat ahead, one can be hired on site.
