Daintree Waters Tour

This small-group day tour mixes rainforest scenery with a more active look at the Daintree. You’ll visit a private property in the Daintree Valley for a swim at Cassowary Falls, head off-road on an ATV ride through creeks, rivers and hills, and join an army truck tour with a rainforest guide. The day also includes a one-hour Daintree River wildlife cruise and a light lunch in Daintree Village. Return transfers from Port Douglas accommodation are included, which makes it an easy option if you want to see more of the region without organising your own transport.

You’ll be picked up from your Port Douglas accommodation and travel north into the Daintree for a full day out. One of the main stops is Cassowary Falls, a freshwater swimming spot on a private property in the valley. You’ll also do an ATV ride with creek and river crossings and hilly off-road sections, so expect a muddy, hands-on part of the day rather than a passive sightseeing tour. There’s also an army truck ride led by an experienced rainforest guide, plus a one-hour cruise on the Daintree River where you may spot local wildlife, including saltwater crocodiles. A light lunch is provided in Daintree Village. If you have specific dietary needs or allergies, you’ll need to bring your own food.
