Overview
This full-day trip packs a lot into one long day, combining scenic flights over the West Kimberley with time on the ground in Purnululu National Park. You’ll travel from Broome by small aircraft, then use 4WD transport and walking sections to get closer to the Bungle Bungle Range, including the Beehive Domes and Cathedral Gorge. Breakfast, lunch, hotel transfers and ground transport are included, so it is a straightforward way to reach a remote area that is otherwise difficult to visit independently.
Why backpackers love it
If you are short on time but still want to see the Bungles properly, this is an efficient way to do it. It is not a budget activity, but it covers flights, transfers, food and access to a very remote national park in one booking, which takes a lot of planning off your plate. The mix of aerial views and on-the-ground walking also means you get more than just a flyover.
What to expect
The day starts with hotel pickup in Broome before your flight out over the Kimberley. Along the way, you’ll see vast plains as well as spots including Halls Creek and Windjana Gorge from the air. After landing in Purnululu National Park, the trip continues by 4WD, followed by walks to key sites such as the Beehive Domes and Cathedral Gorge. Meals and light refreshments are provided during the day. This is a long day with walking involved, so a moderate level of fitness is needed. Trips are weather dependent, and bookings need a minimum of four passengers to run.

- Not recommended for travelers with poor cardiovascular health
- Infants are required to sit on an adult’s lap
- Travelers should have at least a moderate level of physical fitness
- Infant rates apply provided they do not occupy a seat (under 3 yrs)

- Subject to favorable weather conditions. If cancelled due to poor weather, you will be given the option of an alternative date or full refund. Please dress appropriately for all weather conditions.
- All bookings require a minimum of 4 passengers to be confirmed. Passengers not meeting the minimum will be waitlisted until numbers are met
- A fee of 20% of the tour cost applies when cancelling 8-14days prior to tour departure date and a fee of 50% of the tour cost applies to any cancellation 1-7 days prior to departure date. No refund will apply to passengers cancelling later than 4pm the day prior to the tour departure. Cancellation of seats and refund on compassionate grounds will be at the discretion of Broome Aviation. Prices are subject to change without prior notice. Credit cards may attract a surcharge of between 1-5%. Passengers deemed intoxicated will be refused entry onto the aircraft and no refund provided.
