Abseiling Adventure in Morialta Gorge

This half-day abseiling session is a chance to try something active just outside Adelaide without needing prior experience. With qualified instructors leading the way, you’ll learn the basics before heading down the natural rock faces of Morialta Gorge. It’s more of a hands-on outdoor challenge than a sightseeing tour, but the setting adds plenty to it, with views across Morialta Conservation Park and out towards St Vincent Gulf.

The session starts with an introduction from the instructors, who run through the basic techniques and safety setup before you get on the ropes. All necessary abseiling and safety equipment is provided. Once you’re ready, you’ll start descending the cliff face in Morialta Gorge under instructor guidance. The experience takes place on natural rock, so expect a more rugged outdoor setting rather than an indoor-style beginner course. While you’re there, you may also spot local koalas in the surrounding gum trees. This activity is not recommended for pregnant travellers, people with spinal injuries or those with poor cardiovascular health, and you cannot take part under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
