This 3-day trip links three of Tasmania’s biggest drawcards in one go: Cradle Mountain, Wineglass Bay and Port Arthur. It starts in Launceston and finishes in Hobart, so it works well if you are travelling south and want to see a lot without organising separate day tours and transport yourself. It is an active tour with guided walks, national park visits and major entry fees included, but accommodation and meals are not part of the package.

What to expect
Day 1 heads to Cradle Mountain, with time to walk around Dove Lake or take on the steeper Marion’s Lookout option. Along the way, there is a stop in Sheffield to see the town’s murals and a visit to Van Diemens Land Ice Creamery. Day 2 travels down the east coast towards Hobart, including time around Freycinet National Park and views over Wineglass Bay, plus a stop at a hilltop vineyard. Day 3 focuses on the Tasman Peninsula, with a walk along the high sea cliffs, entry to Port Arthur Historic Site, a harbour cruise, a visit to the Tasmanian Devil Unzoo, and a stop in Richmond to see Australia’s oldest bridge. Pick-up is available from selected central hotels and hostels, and you will need a moderate level of fitness as this is a walking-focused trip.

- This is an active tour; as a condition of travel all guests should have full mobility, good health and physical fitness
- We provide accurate interpretation, and keep wildlife disturbance to a minimum by viewing from appropriate distances and informing our guests how to view wildlife with patience and respect. Activities are always confined to tracks and boardwalks to minimize negative impacts.
- Hotel pickup time is between 7am and 7:30am depending on your location. Hotel pickup is available from central city Hotels and Hostels ( no AirBnB’s). Please arrange pickup from your hotel at least 48 hours prior to departure with the tour operator.
- Luggage – Please only bring hand luggage/a day pack on tour, otherwise we won’t all fit! Tours that travel between Launceston and Hobart, we allow for 1 x small sized case & a day pack. If you have excess luggage, please contact our team.
- Meals are not provided, however, there are plenty of opportunities to stop for lunch and snacks on each tour day to suit your taste and budget.
- Accommodation is not included. Hotel pick up is available from select hotel locations only. If carrying your luggage is an issue, please ensure you stay at a hotel location that is included in our door to door pick up schedule.
