Wildlife Wonders Guided Walk

This guided walk at Wildlife Wonders offers a more thoughtful way to see native wildlife on the Great Ocean Road. Instead of a zoo-style setup, you’ll walk through grassland, forest, bushland and tree fern gullies where animals live freely, with ocean views along the way. The experience is led by a conservationist guide, so it’s as much about learning how the local environment works as it is about spotting wildlife. Profits also go to the Conservation Ecology Centre to support research into endangered Australian species.

The visit centres on a 75-minute guided walk along a 1.4km all-abilities path. You’ll move quietly through different habitats while your guide points out wildlife and explains the ecology of the Otways and the conservation work happening in the region. Headsets are provided so you can hear the guide clearly without disturbing the environment, and binoculars are included to help with spotting animals. During the tour, you’ll also stop at the Conservation Ecology Centre Research Hub to learn more about the projects being supported here.
