Wheatbelt and New Norcia Day Tour from Perth

This full-day tour heads out from Perth into WA’s Wheatbelt for a mix of food, nature and regional history. Along the way, you’ll visit countryside gardens and aviaries, try local produce including artisan cheese and bush honey, and stop in New Norcia for a look around Australia’s only working monastic town. Lunch is included, and the group size is capped at five, so it’s a more personal day out than a standard bus tour.

You’ll leave Perth in an air-conditioned vehicle and spend the day exploring a few different sides of the Wheatbelt. Stops include Limestone Park, countryside gardens and aviaries with a large range of birdlife, plus tastings of local produce such as goat cheese, bush honey and farm-fresh gelato. Later, the tour heads to New Norcia, where you’ll explore the township and visit the Benedictine Abbey on a historical tour. Lunch, bottled water and commentary are included, and there’s an onboard fridge if you buy drinks or local produce to take with you. Comfortable shoes are a good idea, as the ground can be dry and dusty.
