Hunter Valley Small-Group Wine Tour with Lunch, Gin, Cheese and Chocolate

This is a food-and-drink-focused day tour around the Hunter Valley, designed for travellers staying in the region who want an easy way to sample a mix of local producers without organising transport. Over 6 to 7 hours, you’ll visit three wineries and a distillery, with guided tastings led by local staff. The tour also includes lunch, plus tastings of cheese and chocolate, so it covers more than just wine. With small-group transport and selected hotel pick-up included, it’s a straightforward option if you want a relaxed day in the Valley and don’t want to worry about driving.

You’ll be picked up from selected accommodation in Lovedale, Pokolbin or Rothbury, then travel by air-conditioned minivan between venues in the Hunter Valley. Across the day, the group visits three wineries and a distillery for guided tastings, including local gin and vodka. At selected stops, there are behind-the-scenes tours, including a wine production tour, so it’s not only cellar door sampling. The tour also includes lunch, with a wine, craft beer or cider, and there are local cheese and chocolate tastings along the way. Closed-toe shoes are required for the production tour, and all guests need to be at least 18 to take part in the tastings.
