Kuku Yalanji Cultural Day Tour to Cape Tribulation

This full-day tour explores the area between Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation with a local Aboriginal guide on Kuku Yalanji country. It is a cultural and nature-focused day rather than a standard sightseeing trip, with time spent learning about local history, traditions and the ongoing relationship between the Kuku Yalanji people and their land. Along the way, you visit the World Heritage-listed Daintree rainforest, the Daintree River and coastal habitats where the rainforest meets the reef. Bush tucker tasting and a swim in a freshwater stream add a more hands-on side to the day.

You travel by air-conditioned vehicle through culturally significant sites and natural areas between Port Douglas and Cape Tribulation. During the day, your guide shares stories and knowledge about local Aboriginal culture, the environment, and how foods and medicines are sourced from nature.
