Kuranda Scenic Railway and Skyrail Day Trip from Port Douglas

This full-day trip from Port Douglas combines two of Far North Queensland’s best-known ways to see the rainforest. You’ll travel one way on the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway and the other on the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway, with free time in Kuranda Village in between. It’s a straightforward option if you want the classic Kuranda experience without sorting out transport yourself.

The day starts with hotel pickup from selected Port Douglas hotels. From there, you’ll head out for a one-way trip on the Kuranda Scenic Railway, then have time to look around Kuranda Village at your own pace. Later, you’ll take the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway for a different view, gliding above and through World Heritage-listed rainforest. At the end of the day, you’ll be dropped back at your hotel. The tour runs for around 10 hours, so expect a full day rather than a quick half-day outing.
