Private Wildlife and Rainforest Safari from Port Douglas

This private full-day tour heads beyond the usual Port Douglas stops and focuses on wildlife and rainforest landscapes. You’ll spend time in World Heritage-listed rainforest, cruise on a volcanic crater lake and visit scenic spots known for native Australian animals. It’s a better fit if you want a nature-heavy day with transport sorted, rather than a cheap quick outing.

The day includes hotel pickup and drop-off, with a driver-guide taking you through different natural areas around the Port Douglas region. Depending on conditions and the day’s route, you’ll explore sections of rainforest, take relaxed nature walks and hop on a boat cruise across a rainforest-fringed volcanic crater lake. Wildlife sightings regularly include kangaroos, platypus, emus, wallabies, tree kangaroos, lizards and plenty of birdlife, although as always with wild animals, nothing is guaranteed. Electric buggies are used where applicable. The tour can change at short notice if weather or road closures affect access.
