Cradle Mountain Day Trip from Hobart

If you want to see Cradle Mountain without organising a car or overnight stay, this small-group day trip keeps it straightforward. You’ll leave Hobart early and head through Tasmania’s interior, with commentary along the way and plenty of changing scenery outside the window. Once you reach Cradle Mountain National Park, you’ll have up to five hours around the park and Dove Lake to hike, take photos or just spend time in the alpine landscape. The day starts with a 6am departure from Hobart and returns around 9pm, so expect a full 15-hour outing.
